Kikuo placed another piece of pocky in his mouth. “Not like it matters, anyways..” he said, closing his crimson eyes. The dirt was ruining his newly cleaned white uniform, but like he cared.. “It’s just relationship issues.. I was rejected, but oh well..” he said with a small sigh.

The small kitten pawed at his side a bit, curious about the pocky. “Of course it matters, though!” Taiko said, a little hurt. “It matters because you’re my friend, and I don’t like seeing my friends unhappy. So what if they rejected you? They don’t know what they’re missing out on! There’s plenty of other good people out there!”

Kikuo curiously stroked the kitten’s fur with the tip of two of his fingers, looking up at her.. “Ano……. I’m just sick of being second best to people..” he said with a frown.
